yes it is aluminum. iron horse categorizes it as a freeride bike, but i ride plenty of downhill on it without a problem.

the size is a s/m but devinci bikes are small so its like a small. im 5'6 and this bike is perfect for me, any bigger than 5'8 and you would probally be uncomfortable. get back to me if your intrested.
